Daniel Jacobs and Shane Mosley Jr. have agreed to a deal for a 10-round super middleweight fight on the Nate Diaz-Jorge Masvidal undercard July 6 in Anaheim, California, sources told ESPN.

The fight will serve as the Fanmio PPV co-main to the boxing match between former UFC stars.

Jacobs (37-4, 30 KOs) is a former middleweight champion who had a rare form of bone cancer during his boxing career. The 37-year-old Brooklynite last fought in February 2022, when he suffered a split decision loss to John Ryder.


Two of Jacobs' defeats came on the elite level: a tight-decision loss to Gennadiy Golovkin in 2017 and a decision defeat to Canelo Alvarez two years later.

Shane Mosley Jr., the son of Hall of Fame boxer "Sugar" Shane Mosley, is a 33-year-old who has scored four consecutive wins. Mosley (21-4, 12 KOs) was last defeated in May 2021, a majority decision to Jason Quigley.

Masvidal defeated Diaz at UFC 244 in November 2019 via TKO. Now they will meet in a boxing ring over 10 rounds at 175 pounds.


The heavyweight championship rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will take place on Dec. 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh announced on Wednesday.

Usyk became undisputed heavyweight champion when he beat Fury via a split decision victory in their first highly anticipated fight earlier this month. One judge scored the fight 114-113 for Fury but was overruled by scores of 114-113 and 115-112 for the Ukrainian.



Usyk is the first unified heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in a 1999 rematch in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, it was Fury's first defeat of his professional career.

The pair had signed a two-fight deal that included a rematch on Oct. 12, but Alalshikh's announcement confirms that date has been pushed back to the end of 2024.


Alalshikh said in a post on Twitter: "The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season...The world will watch another historical fight again... Our commitment to boxing fans continues...We hope you enjoy it."

Fury said in the ring after their first fight that he will look to correct his record in the rematch.

Israeli tanks penetrate the centre of Rafah and air attacks persist across the city despite global calls to end the carnage.

  Israel has continued its assault on Rafah, ignoring a draft resolution to the UN Security Council to “stop the killing” in the city in southern Gaza. New air attacks were reported across the southernmost city on Wednesday morning, hours after witnesses and a Palestinian security source said Israeli tanks had penetrated the heart of Rafah. People are currently inside their homes because anyone who moves is being shot at by Israeli drones,” resident Abdel Khatib said. Israeli air strikes targeted various parts of the city, including the vicinity of the Badr camp and the Zourob roundabout west of the city, according to Palestinian news agency Shehab. A complete shutdown of telecommunications and internet services throughout Rafah is also reported.
