Search underway after possible tiger sighting in Cincinnati, police say.

 





CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A search is underway after a tiger was reported possibly on the loose in the Clifton area, Cincinnati police confirm.


So far, no tiger has been spotted since the report came in around 3 a.m. Monday and both of the Cincinnati Zoo’s tigers are accounted for, police tell FOX19 NOW.


Multiple officers from Cincinnati police and the University of Cincinnati responded to Burnet Woods off Burnet Woods Drive and Brookline Avenue and to areas along Martin Luther King Drive and Crosley Tower.

Drones were put up to help the search, police confirm.

As of 4:45 a.m., the police response reduced somewhat as some officers were dispatched to other runs, police tell FOX19 NOW.
