The Texas Department of Transportation plans to conduct the following construction and maintenance work in the district during the week of June 3. Work schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues. Slow down and pay attention in work zones.

Jacksonville crews will be picking up trees and branches throughout the county. Motorists should expect daytime lane closures.

Rusk crews will be blade-overlaying FM 752. When complete, blade-overlaying will begin on FM 235. Expect daytime lane closures with flaggers and a pilot car controlling traffic.

The contractor on the SH 204 super-two highway section, from SH 110 to the Rusk County line, is scheduled to begin the hot mix asphalt concrete level-up. They will also continue right-of-way clearing, cross culvert extensions, and underground utility relocation. Traffic delays are expected due to lane closures. Completion of this project is anticipated in summer 2024.

The contractor on the U.S. 175 widening project is scheduled to continue utility relocations.

The project extends from 0.5 miles east of the Anderson County line (CR 3509) to FM 347 in Jacksonville. Lane closures are expected. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the project. The project consists of expansion of US 175 to a four-lane roadway with new bridges, grading, hot mix application, drainage structures, pavement markings, and signage. The contractor is also scheduled to begin drainage structure replacement June 30. This project is expected to be completed in fall 2028.
